Default New purchase from RI auction 54073 Grade 1 Laminate Barrels
A few quickie pictures of 54073. 12ga 30" Laminate barrels #1 frame, 1 5/8"x2 9/16x14 1/4", F/F, 7lbs 11oz. Appears to be a solid gun that will get a try out tomorrow.

It looked good when I held it at RI. It will look better when you post a photo of it with some of the ducks you first take with it.

So Chuck sent me a letter on the gun today and it's a CEP gun. Not listed in the Parker Story but pretty cool just the same.

Parker shotgun, serial number 54073, was ordered by the Jno. P. Lovell Arms Co. of Boston, MA on April 7, 1890 and shipped on April 16, 1890. According to Parker Bros. Order Book No. 26, it was a Quality T, Top Action Hammer Gun, 12-gauge. It featured Laminated barrels with a length of 30 inches. The order was placed by C.E.P.

The price was $55.00/

According to Parker Bros. Stock Book No. 19, the stock configuration was a capped pistol grip and its specifications were: Length of Pull: 14 ¼”, Drop at Heel: 2 5/8”, Weight: 7 pounds and 13 ounces. The chokes were patterned RH full and LH full.

Reads like a duck gun.

Shot it today at my duck club on our Thursday Steak and Clays boys night out. It shoots were I look, very pleased.
