			I have a Manufrance Ideal 12g grade 6 with the same thing.  It tells you if there is a shell in the chamber... or not.

			Can't see where they are any kind of indicators. Looks like a overload relief. Kind of like Greener had on their muzzleloaders. Sold my Scott book long ago but do not recall seeing this before.

			Milt is right. I have a Manufrance and the Scott loaded chamber indicators are identical to those on my Ideal.

			They are loaded chamber indicators.  When a shell is in the chamber it pushes the plunger out so it is visible next to the firing pin.  The left one looks like it may be broken.
