8 gauge bore measurements?
My two Parker 8's bore measure between .830 and .835 (.835 Standard 8ga). These are hammerless guns from 1912-1913 era. The letter on one gun specifies RH modified and measure .039 and full which measures .045. One specifies full/full and the chokes measure . 050/.056.
Has anyone measured their 8's that would be willing to share bore and choke dimensions.
Also, I have a letter on a newly purchased 8ga top lever hammer gun which states 115 #4's in a 30" circle at 45 yards. I'm assuming 1 3/4oz load of #4's would be 236 pellets so I get a choke of Improved?? What say you??
