I've handled that one. I believe it used to belong to one of our esteemed members until he liquidated his D hammerless collection. 121474 is on the 0-frame.
It is a magnificent Parker that I wish was in my collection. Actually it is 1 of 6 with 26" barrels. I have the same gun but with 24" original Damascus barrels and is the only 24" Damascus barreled 28 gauge of ANY grade made by Parker Bros. and it isn't listed in that table on page 291 of TPS. It is in the 28-gauge section at the end of Vol II, as well as in the Serialization book but is listed with 28" Damascus barrels in both, which is unfortunately incorrect. I have the letter that supports what the gun actually has for barrels. But again, the RHO gun is magnificent! .

A member had a 24" DHE 28 gauge at the Rock for our viewing and handling pleasure. While I'm not much on the short barrels I could make an exception on that one. Really nice gun that would be a treat to carry.

You are correct Dean. He also had a 32" GHE 16 gauge that was a solid original damascus gun. I inquired about him entertaining parting with it but I don't think that's gonna happen. Don't blame him.

About two years ago David Trevallion had a 32" GHE with Damascus barrels and a straight grip in for repair. I tried to buy it from his customer.... for $7k - Nope, he wouldn't do it.

This one was a PG with nice clean untouched barrels and good dimensions for me. I'm going to follow up with the owner just in case in a few days. Never know if you don't try.

Hmmm... well while the 24” DHE 00 gun made me a little light headed, the CHE 28” of the day prior still remains one of my favorites. Said owner teases me every other year or so with something special, and he is a treasure of a gentleman we are so fortunate to call friend.
Good luck Randy you both are of similar spirit in that you let folks see them. And that’s something I appreciate. |

I handled a 24" DHE28 in an Anchorage shop some years back. I believe Puglisi ended up with it. Steel bbls; not damascus
