Default Parker 410's sold tonight.......

At the Little John's Auction in California. I quit at 38K on a DHE 410--it hammered at 47.5K plus the vig. A VHE 410 skeet brought 20K. It was a 2 day sale with about 1500 lots! Prices were really strong in all categories--esp. Colt Single actions, indian relics, high grade small bore Perazzi's and Brownings. The bulk of the sale was the Petersen collection. Some really fine guns.............

Bill,
It wasn't THE one 30" .410 DHE, was it? Near as I can tell from the serialization book, there were 4 30" .410 guns. 3 were VHE's and one DHE. A friend says he knows one VHE was destroyed accidentally. That leaves 2 V's and the D if they ever did exist and are still around...

No Chuck--it was a 26" gun that matched the serialization book!

Rumors of long-barreled .410 Parkers abound. There is also the rumor of two very late Remington high grade .410's with looong barrels going to California which may soon come to auction....

...but you didn't hear it from me.

Wow..those were some big numbers for them little ones!....Makes me real happy with my repro DHE 410/28 sets, and they realy shoot nice. I break way more clays than I would ever ecpected with the 410 shell! I see two repeo 410-s on Guns International as we speek...nice and only 12,500.00 your chioce. I think they will be 20K in not so long? Only a handfull of repro 410-s were made, good investment. I have been looking for a double trigger BHE repro in any gauge.....few of them exist! Chadicks have a missmatch, BHE 32" barrels with a pad cheap...almost bought it...but 32"F/F and a pad...)-: thanks all SXS ohio....

The DHE that sold last night was a pistol grip, splinter, double trigger gun. Standard stuff. And by the way Kenny--they sold a 3 barrel set--2-28's and a 410 for $9500 + the vig!

The DHE was a real bargain, as was the VHE Skeet. I hope one of us was the successful bidder. For a look at some other Petersen guns, check out the new Petersen display at the National Firearms Museum. I have not been over there to see them yet, but will try to go next week.
