Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..

Gun the book shows as ejector, but no ejectors on gun
I am looking at a gun that the book shows option 2, ejectors. The barrels with the gun are extractor barrels, correct serial #'s correct steel, but 4" shorter than book, and definitely not cut...plenty of choke in barrels. they are 26" the book says 30". there is a "2" and an "x" stamped on the forend lug. The forend iron looks original, and serialized properly.
Is there an easy way to tell by looking at the action if the gun was originally an ejector gun?
This is a DH 12 made in 1909, wondering if it might have been a 2 barrel set, non ejector, and that the option code in the book is just wrong?

I have answered my own question now, at least the ejector part. The action definitely does not have the two rods that protrude out the front of the hinge, so the gun definitely did not start out life as an ejector. Still working on the barrel mystery.
