Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..

A new one to me
I picked up a 12 ga. hammer gun from a friend last weekend an I THINK it is a good one. The serial is 46969 making it made in 1886. The barrels are Laminated steel, as it stamped on the rib, it also has an L on the bottom of the barrel flats. The barrels also weighed 3# 10oz so when I saw the one on the bottom of the locking lug, I assumed that it is on the #1 frame. The barrels measure 28-1/4" on the button but it appears the keels are still there, so I'm thinking (hoping) the barrels aren't cut. The top rib has no matting, so nothing to check for barrel cutting up there. Another interesting thing is a 1 on the water table right above the serial number. According to TPS very few hammer guns have a grade stamp. The gun is pretty light and well balanced, even has case color on the water table, most of the lock plates and some of the action. My concerns are the extra 1/4" of barrel (is it cut??) and the 1 above the serial number (is that a grade stamp?). I would love to post some pics but wife put digital camera away somewhere!
