I applaud the effort in this undertaking and hope it is successful. I like seeing anything that is "Made in America" and not some foreign country thousands of miles away. These create American jobs probably paying decent wages. We will never have the so called "golden age" of American doubles again, but perhaps as some have said maybe a new generation may find these there cup of tea. I hope so.

I don't know how much they will appeal to a younger generation at that price point. Lets face it $5K is still $5K and when you compare one of these to a real Fox or a Parker there is no comparison.

I have a CSM Fox, an FE 410 and it's a wonderful gun. Someday a long barreled 28 will be added.

I find the wood to metal fit to be objectionable, especially on the forearm. I've seen Savage Fox Model B's with better. Also the quality of wood seems to vary quite a bit. One of the guns linked to in this thread has way less quality wood than the others.
Just my humble opinion, no disrespect or harm intended.

This is just a reshaped frame on the RBL platform. It is another offering similar to what Tony did with the Inverness O/U platform when he reshaped the action & called it a Model-21 Winchester.

I jumped on the band wagon on both the RBL & Inverness initial offerings. Both guns were nice for what they were with the upgraded wood on them. Neither gun now resides in my gatherings for the same reasons. My personal peeves for the money on these guns was wood to metal fit "the wood was oversized to the metal everywhere" the laser engraving just doesn't look right to my eye, the laser cut checkering back ground was burnt black and smelled like it had been in a wood stove.

After having the guns in hand. I quickly came to the conclusion that for me there were better choices out there for the same price point. I've looked at the current so called A-Grades on-line and know that one is not in my future.

I bought my A grade (with ejectors)about five years ago and even though the original barrels were bobed it cost me less than 500.00. It is now restored (Thanks to Brian Dudley) and has two sets of barrels each with their own fore arm for less than 20% of the cost of one of the new knock offs.

As others have said, Like to see one first. However, for the money, If you've always wanted a small bore, 20 ga., straight grip Fox, this may be your only chance. For that money though, I'd be inclined to get a Parker Repro.
