Default Not a Parker

As of yesterday I am officially Grandad for the first time. Baby Camryn was 6.6 pounds (which matches my newest 12 gauge Parker) and 19". Everything is fine with her and mom. I'm just a little proud and excited.

Congratulations, Mike! I was blessed with three grandchildren, a little sooner than I expected, but I would not trade the experience for anything. My 5 year old grand-daughter is here now. She runs me ragged, but I still miss her when she goes home. Cheers!

I'm looking forward to some ragged running.

Mike, a big congratulations and God Bless to you and your family. Life as you knew it will cease to exist. It just got a whole lot better. Enjoy and savor every moment from here on out as they grow up too fast. She's beautiful. Jim

Congratulations! What I've found of grandchildren is you do not have as much energy as they do. When they spend the night as babies, I would get up and change them as Cissy would fix a bottle. Team work is key. At two they know everything and want to know more. I saturated them with information. No question went unanswered. At three they were introduced to guns and gun safety. Anytime they wanted to see the Parkers, pistols or rifles it was theirs. At sixteen I had a chauffeur to take me hunting and shooting. Hang on....

Jim gave me a good idea. Get her a pink .22. I think I'll start with that.

Mike, i have a Chipmunk .22 that I started the children and grandchildren out on when they were about seven or eight. It has made the rounds in central Kentucky to friends for their children and grandchildren for about 35 years and it is a tack driver. You are welcome to borrow it when the time comes.

Congratulations, Mike! I'm told that grandkids are the best, and we are certainly seeing that from our friends on the forum. Barbie and I are not yet at that stage, as all of our grandchildren have four legs! LOL!!

Enjoy every moment. My kids have grown up way too fast....
