The Bird Dog Capital of the World
That is the self proclaimed title of Waynesboro Georgia due to a rich field trial history in the area.
I recently had to opportunity to once again hunt quail on Di-Lane Plantation which is now mananged by the state as a Wildlife Management Area. The 10 annual quota hunts are available via a limited draw/lottery system.
A beautiful day with my son (13) and a good friend resulted in several coveys and included two birds that were radio collared and banded as part of a University of Georgia study.
