Default 48811 Grade 3

I found this gun a few years ago on an auction site. The description said stock no good, barrels no good and generally in rough shape. Fortunately this was one of those guns where the wood and the barrels can both be saved and the description was in my favour meaning no one bid on it which so many times is not the case in auctions. Its a 10 gauge #3 frame 32" gun with typical grade 3 engraving. Looking forward to bringing this gun back to life.

That's a worthy project for sure.

Unusual engraving - very nice.

Yep....I'm not wild about 10 gauges in general but that gun is right on the money.

so what is no good about the stock and barrels, looks like a lovely gun from the pictures.
What are you going to have to do to it?

The stock has a poorly repaired crack that is fixable and a ding int he barrels that will clean up no problem. Going to have the wood fixed, stabilized, refinished and re-checkered. The barrels will be refinished, screws cleaned up and the gun will be shot!

I can renew this to your preferred configuration or restore to factory original configuration, it can all go as far as making new barrels the same way as factory did or renewing with, smaller gauge liner. Either way gun will be back to life !
