Default Help pricing a VH 16 Gauge

Dear fellow members.
What is a fair price for a VH, 16 gauge, pistol grip, #1 frame, with 30" Vulcan barrels?
Gun has little case colors and bluing, but it has not been abused. It locks tight and the screws are unturned.

Thank you in advance.

Buying, although why would that make a difference?

Not exactly what you asked but,

I passed on a 1 frame 26 inch 16 g VH with lots of original finish at 2200 recently. Untouched 100 % as built. Thought it was fairly priced. Now I wish I had bought it.

There are 12 VH 16s listed on Gunsinternational. Asking prices range from $1195 to $5995. Most are between $2000 and $3500.

VH 16 I Passed on had been listed one of the sites for a very long time at 2800. Dealer dropped it to 2200 in his shop. Week later it was gone . My opinion condition made it well worth the money and probably the reason it sold well in person not on line.

My opinion only.

I think Bill is right. I have bought several guns online that turned out to better in real life. Some sellers use cell phone cameras or otherwise don't take photos seriously. The opposite can be the case too.

The 16 ga is a bit of a weird gauge...it should be a lot more popular than it is.

But for whatever reason (probably availability of cheap ammo) the 12 ga has never lost its #1 position.
