Default Parts

The safety on my 20ga Reproduction has gone soft.

It still functions and I have not taken the gun down yet..perhaps one of the 'legs' which rides atop the cross pin has cracked? I do not recall the pin being loose side to side when I was in there last.

I see Galazan has a replacement..if memory serves correct, it is slightly different in design (but may work).

Anybody replace one with the spring that Galazan offers & did it work proper?

Any original Reproduction replacements to be found?

That spring you provided a link to will not work. It is nothing like that of a Parker.

There is no one making new safety springs currently.

The spring in the Repros is the same as the ones used in late Meriden guns.

They are different for SST guns and DT guns.

You're may not be broken, it might just need to be bent a little to get the firmness back.

Thanks Brian - just what I was looking for.

That spring in the link is definitely not as I recall when I had the gun down and clearly my experience w/these guns is limited so thanks again for the info. Gun has DT's.

I don't remember the spring feeling weak - or at least it didn't strike me as such when I re-assembled it (only had it taken down once). Guess I need to get in there to see what's going on & I hope you're right about a little tweak to firm it back up.

If you end up needing a spring for it, I should be able to help.
