Thumbs up dog engraving

I'm wondering about the dog engraving on Parker shotguns. Specifically which guns have dogs on the receivers and the disposition of the dogs tails. Most seem to be all classic old school straight out the back or 9:00 o'clock. I saw a reproduction with the setters tail up @ 10:30??? any photos of your guns dogs greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

Legh

here are links to discussions of the dogs on our guns

http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthr...highlight=dogs

http://parkerguns.org/forums/showthr...ht=dogs&page=2

a search on dogs in the engraving forum will show many entries

it seems the dogs begin to show most often on the D grades and above

here is a example of an early DH with the three dog engraving

somehow- this one got in the mix

I've got a bunch saved to my pictures file.
I'm in Maine right now but will be home this evening. I'll contact you then.

Best, Dean

PS, others should continue posting their photos - I'm sure there are some nice ones out there.

Legh, as promised....

The first is a Remington Parker (No. 242500A) - not a Parker Reproduction - one of the scant few that were finished in the 1980's I believe. I think only two or three may have been made before the project was terminated. The setter is wonderful in my opinion.

Double or triple click to enlarge.

This next one is from Jessie Bishop's 1908 28 ga. Damascus DHE.

Sorry, tail is 8:30 to 9:00.... I can't tell if it is a.m. or p.m.

Here's another one with tail at about 9:15. Deep relief engraving... you should see the whole gun - it has been shown here before.
