My 16 gauge 1 frame had similar ripples in the barrels and dale Edmonds got them out

Sometimes with barrels like these the temptation after tapping the irregularities as much as possible is to finally strike the exterior and hone the bores... Do not allow this to be done. You may end up with barrel walls that are too thin to be safe.

Yeah, that's what I meant when I said they would need to be worked so much something would not be right when it was all over. I just don't see how a gun could get so many dents to start with....repeated carelessness I guess.


The bores were not too bad in terms of pitting and the chamber area looked fine, inside and out. But just so may dents on the tubes.
