[QUOTE=Dean Romig;14650]John, at the risk of sounding arrogant and self-righteous, I've been tying both tiny and large flies onto all sorts of tippet material for well over fifty years and will snip off and re-tie any knot I have any doubt in... even in the heat and frenzy of an evening spinner fall - if you know what I mean -- Hey there "Deano" IMO my friend, ain't no risky business involved in your posting. We haven't yet met but from my impression of you, the words "arrogant and self-righteous" fit you about as well as an A cup would on Dolly Parton. One of the many side benefits of our PGCA "brotherhood" is discovering other related sporting interests besides our love for "The Old Reliables"-fly fishing, fly tying, books, keepsakes, etc--

And I sorta like the new "handle" you gave me recently- Francisco-- how much? Enough that I picked up the old HD-35 and ripped through Jesse Fuller's "San Francisco Bay Blues" circa 1958. FYI- great riff- Clapton did a bang-up cover of it on his "Unplugged VCR tape about 11 years ago"--

I think if I ever find another "open-ended" website that doesn't require your first and last name, as on our PGCA site, I may use "Don Francisco" as my nom de plume- homage to your quick wit and reposte, and my all-time ficticious character- Don Vito Corleone. And rest easy on this- in case you are wondering if I mean the "YeeOldeDoubleGunShoppe" site-ain't gonna happen- to quote old Jack N. in his classic line to Shirley M. in "Terms of Endearment"--: "I'd rather stick needles in my eyes"!!
