Gary and all,

At $10,695 total price including the auction fees was this A grade 10 gauge Parker with the one good set of barrels and Parker case worth that amount of close to it?

Mark

Jeff, you are correct. 15% buyers fee, shipping and insurance on this gun were included as were forend matched to second set of barrels and cleaning rod.

This Parker was on exhibit at the Houston NRA show and several Parker people looked at it there. A very interesting and desirable gun.

I agree with Bruce. It would be hard to resist. No one yet has said whether Parker records mention the second barrel set. Gary, for one, must have ordered a PGCA letter.

Good arithmetic, Mark, but $10,695 does not include the internet bidding fee, which is 3% for most services.

Thanks Bill,

So if we add the 3% or $279 the total cost to the buyer was $10,974. If the case and accessories are worth $1000 or more, is the subject gun with one set of barrels worth $10,000? Was the gun comparable to those on Puglisi's website for similar offered for similar prices?

I look at "John's" guns a lot have bought from him. But the NRA gun is in a class of it's own for A grades one could of bought in the last few weeks. A grade lifter with the older forend latch barrles marked 1 and 2 Parker two forends, Parker case the cool brass cleaning rod with the oil bottle and jag on end, the screws. That my friend is one cool Parker. And I think Mark is right on. But hey... ch

As I said before the gun was great, with original cleaning rods and accessories, and case was worn but intact, What was it worth? It was worth I thought what I paid for it the first time then when it arrived I saw the problem with the second set of barrels, called the auction house and ask them to knock a couple thousand off for the barrels, but to no avail, so I just sent it back, Again I was dealing with the auction house not the NRA, I support the NRA whole heartedly I have been a life member for years, sometimes you just back away and move on which I have done!
