I have a circa 1901 vh 12 ga. What is the best way to disassenble the leaf spring type of opening lever action?
I had no problem with my circa 1923 ph 12 ga.
Bill, A spring clamp would be best but a pair of small needle nose vise grips with copper pads on the jaws work. Compress the spring put on the clamp return top lever to closed position and pry off the spring. There is a little peg that holds it in the frame. You may need to pry it with a small thin blade screwdriver. Good luck
