Default MAJOR WALDRON NYD SHOOT CANCELLED

I have just been informed that the shotgun shack and fields at Major Waldron's Sportsman Association are closed for an undetermined amount of time due to a major roof leak with today's ice and rain creating a waterfall on the electrical breaker panel inside the Shotgun House.

Further inspection of the situation should happen tomorrow but it is likely a repair to the roof and or replacing the boot is necessary. Fixing it will not happen quickly as I was told there are two solid inches of ice on the roof preventing this from being repaired in time for the NYD shoot.

I am disappointed as I am sure all of you who planned to attend are as well.

Really sad news.
We were so looking forward to starting the New Year up your way.
Hope things get sorted out and you're able to reschedule.

I wonder if the shoot can be rescheduled for a Saturday or Sunday soon after the roof is repaired.

Sad that the weather has robbed us of this fun event every few years.

I find it disappointing as well as frustrating. The club has scheduled shooting all year long, Trap on Saturday mornings and Skeet on Sunday mornings. To me it's always been better when WE have it to ourselves on a weekday holiday. This has been a tough December for any outdoor activity along with hindering any repairs to the facility.

Yup, Got it Pete.
Dorothy and I may just shoot down to Addieville one of these days if it will be open. That all depends on snow conditions and if Jack will have carts to rent.
Winter is a tough time here in the northeast for the occasional shooter.

Allen, when we go it won’t be for a while yet… but I’ll let you know.

If you'd like some company at Addieville, I can hop on the ferry to be there!

This is unfortunate, but these things happen. Thanks Pete for trying to make it work.

It would be nice to meet up at Addieville sometime soon. Nothing beats Station 10 with those English Driven themed high targets!

I hope to see all of you soon somewhere.

Happy New Year!
