Default Winchester Super Handcap

About a year ago I looked over Winchester Super Handicap loads for a 12 gauge 1 1/8 ounce in AA and STS hulls . I took the powder charges to try in 10 gauge using REM or Cheddar hulls with SP-10 wads and they worked okay on clay targets with no excessive recoil . This past week I loaded some with 1 1/4 ounces at the lower 1 1/8 powder charge weights using REM hulls with both SP-10 and BPI wads and then in Cheddar hulls with both SP-10 and BPI wads . I shot them in a 2 frame EH 28” that for a 10 gauge is relatively lightweight . All eight shells sounded good when I set them off , recoil was not excessive and they did a decent job trimming limbs . I didn’t run over a Chrony but I’d guess they were 1050-1125 fps . I used a #20 MEC bushing that’s supposed to throw 18.6 grains of WSH . By no means am I telling anyone to load as I did , however for my own use they seem to have worked okay in my parameters .

I hope this isn't a hijack as I didn't want to start another WSH thread but, since you went up a gauge, I'd like to go down one.

Are there any 16 gauge loads for WSH? Been one dry hole after another. My local store has bales of it. I'm working on a spreader load for The Mighty Drilling while trying to keep it under 10K PSI.

There are various formulas out there to extrapolate, but I'm too new to shotgun reloading to think I have a handle on that.

Thank you.
