Dean, I know that you and I have been through this before. It's never easy and frankly is heartbreaking and heart rending to loose your dog, your best friend . I feel your pain and just hope that she passes as peacefully as possible. My prayers are with you

I may have to miss it too… My sweet Gracie is in the last days or even just hours of her life. I rushed her to the 24/7 emergency vet on Christmas Eve and after 3-4 hours of tests the doctor told me Gracie has late-stage pancreatic cancer that has metasticized to her liver. My options were to leave her there to be euthanized or bring her home to die. I opted to bring her home…. Dammit - she's only 9 1/2 and I thought she's be at least 14 when she passed on. Don't mean to hijack your thread Pete but I hope you guys have great shoot. Sorry to hear about Gracie at 9 1/2 yo Dean. I had to put Parker down last month at 14 yo so I, like many of us here, know the feeling.
