Frankly, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of the stock being of Remington origin.

case in point being the stock and forend on Russ Jackson's CHE 20 gauge. .

I know that trap shooters can not possibly leave a gun alone, but why in the world would you cut the barrels on a SBT????

Apparently a after the barrel was cut there was enough choke remaining to measure IC. That will break a 16 yard target. Wouldn’t recommend it.....

I've wondered the same thing. Orphan Annie has had her barrel cut from 34" to just about 28". Car door? Somebody wanting to use her for a hunting gun? I'll never know. I've never actually measured the choke; all I know is that my drop in gauge stops between full and IM. She breaks 16 yarders just fine; I've rarely shot anything longer with her and she did OK; it was hard to tell whether the misses were the fault of the gun or the shooter

. Regardless, she's been a lot of fun for a guy who doesn't take trap shooting too seriously. I have the same deal with all my guns: I don't point out their faults and they don't point out mine .

I have a Parker single barrel with a Cutts compensator that is a neat hunting gun. It is a mismatched second barrel for one of my SCs. I wouldn't cut down the 34" barrel of my 20 gauge SC though.

Some hunting companions and I were talking about this the other day. Does a few more inches on a barrel really make one that much more manuverable in the woods???

No Brian. That’s a state of mind. But I must admit I like 24” or 26” a lot more than longer barrels.
