Turkey Guns
Daniel Rainey you asked me several months which guns I use for turkey hunting. Here they are:
1. 1894 Quality O Hammer Gun.
2. 1895 2 frame GH.
Both have 30 inch barrels.

Scott Very nice guns. About three years ago, while on a bird in Montana I found a 10 GH in great shape 30 barrels choke mod and full. After I purchased it I realized it was too nice and too damn heavy for me to drag down the creek bottoms that we hunt in Mississippi So I traded it. now I use my old 3 inch Browning 2000 that has killed 101 turkeys almost all the time. I did buy a 16 DHE two barrel set with one of the barrels 32inch choked full and full.Last spring I patterned It With Kent Bismuth one oz. of 5's. and was very impressed. I think it is good for forty yards. Our Turkey population has been down for several years and we do not get the number chances for a kill as we used to. Our population seems to be on the upswing. This coming spring, after I get the Thanksgiving bird out of the way I intend to give the 16 a try and will take it to Kansas when I go,
