B on the barrel lug...

I've tried searching, but can't find a thread matching my search strings.

The barrel lug on this set of barrels has a B stamped on it next to the frame size. Does that indicate this was a 2nd set of barrels?

no, just an inspection stamp.

Thanks. I did just get my TPS in about a week ago. Finished Peter Johnson's book this week.

The barrel number will be marked on the fore end lug on multi- barreled guns, and that same number will be stamped on the fore end iron (inside).
