Wonderful gun Craig. Those case colors look very Remington to me. But the gun is pre Remington by a bit.

Have gun with almost same colors done by Turnbull.

They are cyanide case colors and were most likely redone by either Remington or Del Grego.

Craig, when you are able to see the gun again (presuming you photographed the gun yourself) look on the barrel flats for the possibility of Remington repair codes.

Dean, what I see in the pic's there's no Rem code marks. Just wanted to confirm my thoughts and learn on the way.
