Readers may be interested in the following Parker documents. Sometimes its helpful to know what Parker said.
1. James Geary's table of chamber lengths from TPS. Note that 12ga chamber length is 2 5/8".
2. A pdf file of two hang tags from 12ga V grades circa 1903. Note the statement to use shells 2 3/4". See also another instance of hang tags showing patterning with shells loaded with 1 1/8oz and 3 drams equivalent of nitro. You will need to click on the pdf to bring it up.
The import of this is that here is a Parker statement to use shells 2 3/4" long at a time when Parker 12ga chambers were 2 5/8".
Readers may also recall my and Austin Hogan's posts about SAAMI specification cartridge length being within tolerances 2 5/8 to 2 3/4" for a 2 3/4" nominal length cartridge.
I appreciate that this is old stuff and insignificant to many readers but concerns about chamber length reoccur on this forum so frequently that it may be beneficial to read what Parker said.
