Ed, When you get my age most of the roughness has worn off. In my opinion dogs are the best people in the world. Cheers, Tom

I am and always will be a big fan of the GSP. A very good friend raises Llewellin setters and will breed Ella a wonderfull female to his sons male Duke. I know both dogs and have hunted over them many times.

My wife is adamant about no more dogs as we have three now, two of which are over 12 and one of them is an insulin dependent diabetic. This is a rather covert move as he is willing to get the dog started and present it to me for my Birthday which is the end of October.

I guess the long anser to your question is the dog will be a Llewellin Setter sex yet to be determined.

Rich ,, " BIRTHDAY " You are a sly Rascal ,Wish I had thought of it ! My wife and I can't agree on when our next Pup should move in ,ever since our Maggie had to be put down ,my Wife says the heart ache is too much for her to deal with any more and wants no more Dogs ! Chip is getting on ,he will soon be 13 years old and really has slowed down . I can't imagine not having a Bird Dog but that appears to be the way I am heading ! My Dear Wife never says a word about Guns I purchase ,Austin Healeys , Mounted Deer Heads ,Etc. Etc. Etc. but she really doesn't want another Dog ! Imagine life without Pointing Dogs and sitting for countless hours in a tree stand hunting Deer !
