Thanks for the prompt comments. Gun is very nice. I am such a novice on Parkers that I was not sure whether the glossy stock was original finish or not. Sounds like not. I suppose many of these guns have been refinished over the years. How badly would that hurt desirability?

Wouldn't hurt it much. This is a nice gun depending on the next bunch of pictures you send us.

I suspect that the finish may not be as glossy as it looks. Might just be the lighting. As long as it is an oil finish on it, the value would not be effected much. If it is finished with Urithane, it would be more of a detractor.
Either way... it looks like you might have a lot of nice Color left in the metal. More pics please if you want.

Thanks for the input guys. Finish on the stock is really nice but does have a gloss to it. The walnut stock grain has a burl look which I guess was an upgrade wood to the grade. Showing a few more photos.

Yes... Very nice gun. Great screws and patina. I do see that the checkering boder on the forend is not the correct mullered type.

Thanks B.Dudley. Not sure what incorrect checkering on for end indicates. Does this mean the forend wood is not original to the gun? serial number on forend matches receiver and barrel. Would anyone have any idea as to value?
