They may be some out there but I believe that Parker only made 40" in 12ga, and 38" in 16ga most were ordered by H.D. Folsom Co. with the Flying Pigeon Buttplate. I understand that the mold was supplied by Folsom for these "special" trap guns, also I think from what I have read that 36-38=40" were made in 12ga I think less than 100 total, afew 10ga in long barrels and about 4 in 16ga 38" I am sure that 36" and such are out there but I think 38" was the longest in 16ga. Also someone had some data on this? can't remember just who maybe they will chime in.

In the mid to late 90's a gentleman in a wheel chair who also was visually challenged shot a 54 inch barreled Remington 870 at the Grand American Trap Shoot for several years. He shot from the hip and was quite accurate. Cheers, Tom

Longest I've seen on a single shot is that one you and I swapped back and forth Charlie. I've got my 36 inch Super Goose Gun that I'm pretty pleased with, that's the longest in my gun closet.

Many years ago, a Virginia dealer displayed a GH grade 16 with 40" Vulcan Steel barrels. I would guess that the 40" barrels were a factory rebarrel. This dealer, at the time, was selling the Bill Mitchell collection, so the 40" 16 may have been a Mitchell gun. General Mitchell was known to own some weird special order Parkers. Has anyone run into this gun over the years?

EDM knew where that long 16 gauge was. He'd had a chance to photograph it for his first book but passed for some reason. It's in a collection but that's all I can remember.
