Mr. Neely:
FIRST, be sure there is NO LIVE round in the gun.
Then keep it pointed in a SAFE direction.
Then remove the forend and try to open it.
If this fails, get it to a competent gunsmith.

Good luck.

Are you saying the top lever won't move & is stuck with the gun closed?

If so, I've had this happen before due to a locking bolt fit/wear problem. Brad Bachelder mentored me for how to get the gun opened so I could ship it to him.

His instruction was to make sure there wasn't a live round still in it. Then take a piece of soft wood and small hammer & solidly hold the wood on the end of the top level in the direction of opening it and then gently tap it with the hammer in the direction of opening being careful about not bending the opening lever.

It worked like a charm. Brad replaced the bolt and fit it to the barrels. The gun never had the issue again.
