Been there done that. And as long as you are careful, you dont have the touch the finish on the sides of the stock.

I find most skeet guns have long lop, 14 1/4 inch to rear trigger position with the single trigger gun, you would think it would be closer to 13 1/2 for standard lop??

Nice work! I have seen two different checkered butt patterns over the years. The one shown here and the other was sharp points, kind of like the bottom of the subject pattern. Were there any other patterns of checkered butts anyone else has noted?
