Default AZ Slam Mount Preview

Just have to share this pic. Beautiful mount of my AZ quail slam from our January hunt. Looking forward to going back. Should have it here next Friday. I’ll add a pic after it’s on the wall in the lodge.

Beautiful, and unique, Mike!

Question to both of you . . . . having only hunted Gambel's myself, is there any noticeable difference in the flight/speed "out of the hole" between the three species?

I know that a Gamble's can get gone in a skinny minute.

I thought they were all fast out of the gate, but the Gambel’s seemed a bit slower.

Here is the first bird from the hunt, a cock Mearns and the 20g VH. He flushed at 35-40 yards, straight away. Stoned him at 60 yards with a load of 7/8 oz #6 out of the .015 choke.

Mount arrived late this afternoon. It’s out of the crate. I’ll post a pic tomorrow AM when it’s on the wall. Cool beans! It really looks good.
