My first Parker hammer gun

I am in the process of acquiring my first parker hammer gun. It has S/N 66703. The Configuration is as follows: PT T O C 10 32. Looks like it was made in 1891. It is a basic model, minimal engraving, but is in pretty good shape, except for being dusty with a few hunting dings. The left hammer will move back under spring tension, but will not lock back. The twisted barrel has a couple of very shallow and smooth impact marks on the left-hand side, near the muzzle. The bores are clean and shiny with no pitting. The action is tight and functions well. I have not had a chance to take it apart to see what the internal hammer problem is, and I will not be able to until after I buy it. I was told it has been a wall hanger for over 40 years, handed down thru the family from a great grandfather. Now with a death in the family they are selling the home and the Parker has to find a new home also. I bought it for $500 and would like to give it a new life. This will be my third Parker. My first was an SB, then a hammerless double, and now this Hammer double. They seem to keep finding me, without me looking for them? There is something special about Parkers, compared to my other firearm collectables. I will send pics when I have them.

The repair needed( barrel dings, hammer cocking) are pretty minimal. Let me know on the lock.... I may have that part. May require a little disassembly and fitting, but relatively simple.

Wow Ralph, That 3 frame 10 will clean up fantastic. Great find. I own a couple my self, same configuration. Definitely not abused. Good luck bringing that one back to proper form.
