South Carolina has a bill before the Legislature that allows a concealed carry weapon by any adult, not previously barred from such, without the need of obtaining a permit to do so. If it passes a person may carry anyplace not specifically prohibited by a posted sign.

In Vermont you cannot carry with intent to do injury. Cannot carry loaded rifle or shotgun in a car (fish and game law).
Concealed loaded handguns are OK with no permits issued or required. No changes on the horizon except a push for locking guns in the presence of children. May just pass as just this week a small child shot and killed a toddler playing with a loaded gun. |

In Vermont any place where a long gun may be legally carried a concealed handgun may also be carried with no special permit required.
