Default Barrel Marking Question

Gentlemen, a friend asked if I'd ever seen a Parker with the barrel roll stamped with "STANDARD VELOCITY SHELLS ONLY" on the side of the left barrel. The gun is a VH built around 1917. If you have seen this was it stamped after-market or was it from the factory? THX.

Bbl weight 3lbs 10 oz. 1 1/2 frame 12 gauge 30”

Not original

This all sounds very familiar and I think has come up here before.

This 12-gauge was pictured in The Double Gun Journal, Volume Thirteen, Issue 4, page 95 --

I've also seen this 20-gauge 230978 --

I’ve never seen a Parker stamped like that… or even remotely like that.

That falls into the "Never say never" category.

Yeah, this has come up a few times. Here's a link to the last time. I thought it was decided it was possibly factory?

By the way, every year my wife still brings up post #39 of that thread a couple of days before our anniversary.

I read the other thread from 2015, looks like it was factory for whatever reason.
