Default Parker Reproduction DHE 410 with 28" barrels

I have recently acquired a Parker Reproduction 410 with a DHE stock and beavertial foreend and with what appears to be BHE 28" barrels ie engraving on the top of the near where the barrels join the receiver. The serial numbers are identical on the parts and start with 20-. The gun appears to be unfired as the action is tight. Did Winchester ever make any reproductions in this configuration?

With Parkers we have learned to say "Never say never", but I would say that your gun with a serial number 20-XXXX, is not original and did not come from the factory like that. Can you post pics, including a macro-pic of the barrel flats showing the serial number and the rear lug frame size as well as the stock and forend checkering? Where did you find this gun?

Default Wayne Fauple

Hi Wayne. Please send me photos of the 410 barrels on the underside where they attach to the frame. I also would like to see photos is the serial number on the water table where the barrels attach to the gun. Serial numbers on the trigger guard and underside of the forend. And any other barrels or numbers you see. Thanks. Richard Skeuse

Additionally, a picture of the top of the gun with barrels closed so we can see the fit of the doll's head into the frame. This fit is one of the hardest to make fit perfectly when fitting an add-on set of barrels.

From what I see the basis for this gun was a 20-ga. Parker Reproduction built on a 0-frame. (To my knowledge all original .410 Parker Reproductions were built on either a 00 or 0000-frame.) It appears the metal may have been bone charcoal case hardened. The barrels are aftermarket and not original to the gun, the barrel wedge engraving was added, the "Parker Gun Works Overload Proved" proof stamp may have been used by Remington for a time, (I believe Brian Dudley had shown us a picture of the actual stamp - not sure who has it now. I'm guessing the barrels may have been built by Remington or perhaps CSMC when they were producing .410 0-frame aftermarket barrels to be fitted to Parker Reproductions or orig. Parkers about a decade or so ago.

How well does the forend fit?

Perhaps others and/or Richard Skeuse can add more . . .

Default Parker 410

The foreend fits very well as does the barrel to receiver. Whoever put this together put in some effort
