Default Sling mounts?

I was cruising along on GB going through my daily checking. Generally I only expand on promising looking deals, configurations I’ve been on the hunt for, or things that are heinous. Here we have the latter. About halfway through the pack of lies in their description something they said caught my attention. Upgraded sling mount model? As a sanity check, are there any documented examples of factory sling mounts?

Apparently yes, as per some members here.

It has come up in the forum a few times before. Give a search on the topic, I am sure that photos have been shared of some original examples.

And of course, any sling mounts that are not supported by a letter, would be suspect.

Pretty common on plantation quail guns.

58 pictures and not one showing the front sling base. Wood looks like Bishop or Fajen, very acceptable wood to metal fit but a bit lacking in color. Sure, there are original swivels, but these aren't examples of original equipment unless a PGCA letter says otherwise.
