Default Screw slots

Are the screw slots wider on Parkers than on other guns of a similar era? I ask because a chum of mine (not the "friend" that Koneski asks for ) has posited this. No dog in the fight; just asking.

It depends on what you're comparing them to. I've had some English, Spanish & Italian made guns that the screw slots were ridiculously thin and difficult to grind a screwdriver blade down to fit them & still have strength in the blade.

Parkers on the other hand are fairly easy to correctly fit screwdriver blades to. On most Parkers you can usually find a bit that will fit in Brownell's master set along with their thin bit set.
