I had a CH Parker that lettered with 2barrels. One titanic steel the other as damascus steel Double d. Made early 1899 serial number 90681

I have owned 3 different C grades that were made in 1903/1904 and all had Titanic barrels. What is the serial # of your gun? Please show us some pictures as it sounds like a good one.

I think I found that info in TPS when I was researching the PP article I recently wrote on the BHE 20. I'm at the Southern now but I can check my notes when I get home if I'm in error to see where I found that tidbit.

Thanks Randy - I had looked up “Acme” in the index of The Parker Story I found that Acme barrels were first introduced in the 1907 Parker Brothers catalog but when I found that date I didn’t look any further.

Page 298 or The Parker Story the first Acme Steel barrel CH was 101184 made in 1900 and the highest serial number Titanic Steel barrel was 156622 made in 1910.
The early Acme Steel barrel guns I've recorded have the same K in the barrel steel location on the right barrel flat as the Titanic Steel barrels have from the get-go. Like 130114 shown here -- 130114 11 K in barrel steel location.jpg 130114 10 ACME STEEL.jpg |
