Default I guess they are spoken for !...

Whenever my oldest daughter stops by, she always wants to see "her guns". Saturday was no exception..so I wiped them down, and took a couple pics for the Forum..Parker is 1885..O frame..Lightening cuts..all original..one of 328. LC is 1912..original except barrels were done. Both are tight with perfect bores. The case is vintage faux alligator that I refinished..Both are 16s..

I'm sure she will give them to my Grandsons..A couple years ago I gave both of them .410 Stevens single shots...They will get these too when they are older....and no doubt some others...

I have the pleasure of owning nine Parker Shotguns but the most important one, which started me on my quest to collect more, is a 12 gauge VH, with untouched screws, original hang tags, made in 1924. The gun belong to my grandfather, then my father and then me. My father’s wish was that the gun be passed from son to son. The gun sits in the gun safe with a tag on it to “give to Scott.” My son never cared for hunting but liked to shoot target and appreciated the beauty of the Parker as a family heirloom. My daughter is the hunter and we have deer hunted together for the past 14 years. We have all had tragedies in our lives and mine was six months ago today when Scott passed away. Scott had no heirs. The tag still hangs on Scott’s grandfather’s gun that my daughter will now inherit with a request not to remove the tag as it is passed on to her sons along with my other Parker shotguns. Gentlemen, it is strange how we are connected to our Parker’s in so many different ways. I just thought, after reading this thread, and on this particular date, I would kick in my two cents.

Of our five kids three are girls and I can say that it really is impossible to say no to one of them. At least twenty years ago the oldest told me she wanted a Parker, I gave her two. One day she came by the house while I was inspecting a Remington model 24, 22 auto, the one built on the Browning patent, complete with Lyman tang peep sight. I told her I had always wanted one and had just bought it at a very good price. "She said I want it". It went home with her. I have also built her on Mauser actions a 7x57 and a 35 Whelen because she wanted them. What can I say. The other girls aren't so interested in guns and hunting but they have asked for and been give other things. The boys and two son-in-laws are just waiting for the old man to pass so they can divide up the rest. I guess I wouldn't want it any different.
