Default 2nd Parker, GH 16 ga O frame

Well the bug has bitten, and bitten hard. I aquired my 2nd Parker a couple of weeks ago. I was a little disappointed when I got it for inspection as the muzzle had an 1/8" split where someone had dropped it on the corner of something hard (this was not in the description, nor were the dents you could see inside the bbl). The problem was it pointed so beautifully and it is so light ,5lb-14oz, I couldn't put it down. Was just kind of walking around the house carrying it, pointing at the corners of rooms, with this stupid grin on my face. The seller didn't really want it back, so he agreed to pay to repair the muzzle and dents. Bbl thickness just past the forcing cones is .07 and .021 at the muzzle. Muzzle diameters are .656 and .667. All of the numbers match. I stapled the stock and pulled as much oil from the wood as I could. This will be a work in progress, but for now she is ready to chase some pheasants.

Thanks for looking.

p.s. Since I have 2 now technically I am a collector, so my dues will be in the mail Monday.

My girls:

1oz Nickel #5, S16 wad, 23gr Longshot. Should be well below 7500 psi and around 1200 fps.

David,

I don't blame you for keeping the little 16 gauge. Mine are on #1 frames and are a delight. I sure like the way you mark you shells, but that might spook the birds.

David,
Congratulations on your new/old Parker. Could you give the barrel length and LOP. I always thought Damascus barrels were somewhat heavier than fluid steel but a sub-6# 16 gage gun is very light.
