Default A New Season and New Experience

Back in September I shared a few photos of my son and grandson's lab puppy getting ready for dove season and then the results of his training during dove season. Well, time marches on and it is now October and a different season for a 10 month old pup and he is having a wonderful time of it. Notice grandson is using a sxs. A convert - possibly. It is a SKB 100.

Default Continued Success

Grandson Seth continues to have success with his puppy and sxs.

The SKB he is using I purchased for his dad when he was a teenager. He has taken many grouse and woodcock with it over the years. Seth's birthday was on Halloween and we officially transferred ownership to Seth. He says we are not getting it back! Tomorrow we will be hunting grouse and woodcock over my setters. We'll see if there will be humble pie for dinner tomorrow evening.

Default I'm A Proud Grandpa - Can You Tell

Grandson Seth has asked repeatedly that I accompany he and his pup on a pheasant hunt. I'm not much in to hunting stocked pheasants but today was the day. We had a wonderful time despite it being way too warm for an old guy to be stomping the brush. To make all this boasting a bit more palatable, there is a Parker in this photo.

Warning! I have issued orders that anyone showing this picture to my setters, Jake and Willie, will be summarily shot.

My second choice is a Ithaca 100. I have one now just in case something happens to the old Parker.
