John;
Can't help you with the RST's but I load STS's with 12.8gr. 20/28, Rem. PT28 wad, AA209, 3/4oz. shot. Check the Alliant website as there are a number of loads for the STS using 20/28 and Unique. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloade...l.aspx&shotype

Bill and Daryl, thanks so much for the replies. What kind of pressures are you gentlemen looking for? Thanks again, John

John;
I am looking for pressures between 10-12k psi. I shoot them in my VHE, OO, 30" and they are very nice to me and the gun.

I used Winchester 540 for years , now I'm using of all things Universal Clays in the 28 and it seems pretty decent . I use the STS hull and the Claybuster knockoff wad for the WIN HS . Dunno Wat pressure or velocity but they break targets pretty darn good !

As Daryl says, normal 28 gauge pressures are a bit high, 10,000 or higher. However, it's up to you if that makes you nervous. The powder company manuals may lead to lower pressures. I have loaded normal powder manual target loads for my Parker 28 gauge guns since 1960 without problems. I bought my first Parker in 1960, a 28 gauge. I probably bought my next Parker about eleven years later, and shot nothing other than the Parker 28 gauge and my Dad's Model 12 Winchester in the meantime. My 28 has plenty of rounds through it without damage. Yup, I still have and shoot it.
