Default "Side trip" at the Southern last year
I recall that several of you made a side trip to shoot at a club nearby to Deep River last year and enjoyed it. The name and your comments, please.

Dick ,the place is called Drake Landing and is well worth the trip. Great targets,wonderful people who run it and a great group of SxS shooters to hang with.

Stayed tuned here for more details as the event , the Southern, gets closer.

Dick, There will be a number (probably over 20) Parker and Fox (and other double fans) shooters meeting at Drakes Landing on Friday all day before the Deep River shoot and probably Sat morning before the shoot between the Parker and Fox Boys... It is great fun, great targets, two courses, great bunch of guys, what more can be said... Please come you will really enjoy yourself and meet great people.

Eric, we usually shoot all day Thursday also. I have already scheduled myself off work, and will get in Wed night. Join us Dick.

Harold you are correct, shoot all day Thursday and some Friday and Sat. This is open to all so please everyone join us... open to anyone shooting a SxS, great time.

This started with a small group of Parker shooters and has steadily grown over several years to 30-40 shooters from Parker, Fox and LC Smith. The fact that several of us who have to travel some distance go a day early just to shoot at Drakes should say something about the merits of Drakes Landing.
