Default D grades without drop points

Do parker d grade stocks come from factory without drop points on the stock? Just curious

The standard for stocks on DH and CH Parkers is with drop points. BH and above have some form of Fluer di Lis points.

Grade 2 and below do not have any such drop points.

This is also the case with the earlier top-action and lifter hammer guns.

I thought that was the case. But I have seen hints on this board that some DH stocks came without drop points from factory.

All I can say about that is that with Parkers we 'never say never.'

I suppose that there is a slim chance that a DH could not have the drop points. If one comes across one without them, much time must be taken in examining ever other part of the stock to try and determine originality.

There's been a DHE 20ga. on Gunbroker for quite some time, and it is lacking drop points. I inquired as to the originality of the stock, and never got a reply, but, short of buying it to check the SN beneath the trigger guard, I suspect it is factory, if one can go by the skeleton steel butt plate , and correct oval shield on the toe line. It's an otherwise very nice gun. Very nice engraving, though not much color remaining. I love the long flute frames
