Default Howdy

I found this forum and Parker organization by accident, lurked about a bit and was impressed and thought I would join. I don't own an original Parker but back in the early 90's I bought a 28 ga. Winchester reproduction for a good price. It sat around for a few weeks and I decided to see how it shot. Took it to the skeet range and first time out I ran 25...it became my favorite quail gun. I hope to try out an original Parker or two and see how they fit someday in the future.
I look forward to an enlightened time with the PGCA organization.

Howdy back William. Welcome to the best site of its kind anywhere and welcome to the #1 collectors organization too. I liked your story of running 25 straight. How's your gun configured?

It is a two barrel set that the outfit at Cape Girardeau was selling back then. Pistol grip, btfe.
The second barrel is pretty tight but that makes it lots of fun for the games we play at a friends trap and SP field.

I've got a 28 repro sitting in my safe never been fired. I had it out this evening debating what I'm going to do with her. Maybe start hunting with it or sporting clays. Maybe just keep it like it is. Do you have any pics of your gun you could post?

No, not as yet but can take some. I've enjoyed the gun and have used it enough for it to show, not dramatically, just a bump or two. I was in Tucson today and shot it and some others on skeet. I'll post some picts. of the gun when I find my camera. I think it's a delightful 28ga. and as I said it seems to fit me pretty good.
