This gun build has been a while in the making. About 2 years since came up with the idea and found the builder.
I wanted to convert a SxS shotgun into a 20g. rifled Sabot gun. I really wanted to build it on a Parker action, but the barrel builder advised against it since it is single bolted and of 100 year old steel. I took his advise and went with a more modern spanish 12g. Magnum as a donor gun. It is triple bolted and had a greener cross bolt and also side clips.
I just got the gun back and it is in condition to hunt with. I still have to restock it with something nice and most likely get the action colored. But that will have to wait until after the season and for when I can find time for some of my own guns.
It has a Leupold 1-4 shotgun scope on it with talley rings and quick release bases. 1/4 turn releases the scope from the rib for using the iron sights.
Barels are 24" long and fully rifled. Robert Hynden in Iowa built the barrels and I think he did a great and clean job.
Below are some of the in process photos and as it is now.
