Default New member and loving Parker swing

Hello all,
I'm a new member and obviously a first time owner of a 1903 Parker VH. Always wanted one. Very nice gun, Has been refinished and case coloring worn off. Barrels not cut with some slight pitting. Action looks up tight with lever at center
Took it out for first time and a small hen fell to the mini loads.

I absolutely love the feel and swing of this old double.
Any pointers as to keep this ole gal running?

Brian

Congratulations — on the bird AND the Parker.

Nice gun. While your gun has steel barrels, it is probably best to use lower pressure loads. While the mini's are short, many of them are far from low pressure. Look through the forums and you will find many, many discussions on this subject.
