I was thinking the same thing as soon as i saw that. Never physically seen an example. And i dont think there was a forend like that pictured in a formal Parker catalog. I may be wrong on that though.

This ad is from 1919. In 1917, Fred Gilbert took delivery of a Parker SBT SN 180116
I had a 1918 SC with a straight stock and no FE grove.
