Any information on the trigger, crescent butt, rib and and the markings is greatly appreciated since there is little information available in the records.

That is a very neat gun! The buttplate looks to be original to me, it is of the proper style for the gun, just a lot more curved.
And though the single trigger is obviously a much latter addition. It is very rare to see a single triggered hammer gun, let alone a lifter. Other than the damaged to the stock head, it looks to be in great condition.
